As part of National EAP’s ongoing commitment to supporting the mental health and well-being of our communities, we are excited to announce that we have partnered with The Association of Mental Health and Wellness to provide Youth Mental Health First Aid training AT NO COST for our members on December 5, 2023 in Ronkonkoma, NY.
This in-person, full-day course is specifically designed for adults who regularly interact with adolescents, including parents, teachers, caregivers, coaches, and community members. This training program equips participants with valuable knowledge and skills to recognize the risk factors and warning signs associated with a variety of mental health challenges that young individuals may face.

Course Overview:
Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches participants how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental health and substance use challenges among children and adolescents ages 12-18.
During this one-day event, participants will learn how to:
- Identify signs of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and more.
- Provide initial help and support to young people experiencing mental health crises.
- Foster a nurturing and stigma-free environment for adolescents in your community.
